Definitions

Block: A way to stop someone from contacting you online or seeing what you post.

Permission: Saying it’s okay to do something. You should ask for permission before posting about others.

Privacy: The right to keep certain things from being shared without permission, like photos or personal stories.

Respect: Respect means treating others the way you want to be treated. You can do this by listening to someone when they speak and being kind and fair. It can also mean understanding that we all have different feelings, opinions, and personal space.

Safe/Safety: Being protected from harm or danger. You should feel safe in all your friendships, both online and offline.

Screenshot: A picture you take of whatever is showing on your screen, like saving a text or post as an image.

Trust: Believing someone will treat you fairly and kindly. Trust is built through honesty and respect.

Trusted Adult: A grown-up you can count on to help you, like a parent, teacher, or coach. They are someone you feel safe talking to if you have a problem or need advice.

Uncomfortable: A feeling you get when something doesn’t feel okay or makes you nervous or upset.
