Meeting in public with a friend is safer, but not always enough. Just because a friend comes along doesn’t mean that it will make the situation safer. This could put your friend in a dangerous situation as well.
Can you tell a parent, teacher, or older sibling where you’re going? Sharing your location with a parent or friend means someone always knows where you are in case of an emergency.
If he doesn’t want you to bring someone, that’s a red flag! If he gets upset or tells you to come alone, that’s a clear sign that something is not right!
