They look cool and you are ready for some new friends. It has been really bad lately with friends talking behind your back. Maybe someone new would be good. More friends/followers can increase your standing. You go for it and accept their friend request.
Not everyone is who they say they are online. Fake or Burner accounts are sometimes created by people who have bad intentions.
